JAVA Install Problem

Dear all:

I try to install JAVA in OpenVMS 7.3-2 for Alpha. But It will occur the message,
"Execution phase starting ...
%PCSI-E-NOPEV, product DEC AXPVMS VMS732_AMATHRTL V1.0 is missing version equiva
lency class representative"

Please help me check what should I do.

Though the AMATHRTL patch is not mandatory for JAVA (according to the JAVA site); have you installed it?
Have you all other mandatory patches installed? Btw. which version of JAVA are you trying to install?

Wang,

I am not sure whether you have all necessary patches (HP recommended) for your V7.3-2, which is required to run Java.

Please go thru this path list which are required to run JAVA.

Since you had the VMS732_AMATHRTL patch installed, you PCSI database may be corrupt?

Have you tried to reinstall the VMS732_AMATHRTL patch?
