Um, do you have Rdb and NFS intertwined somehow (that you're not telling us about), or is this a case where starting Rdb (over here) causes NFS (over there) to spontaneously tip over?

I'd not tend to expect Rdb to be particularly fond of using NFS-based storage, for instance.

If so, you might check with the nice folks over at Oracle MetaLink-land and see if they consider NFS-based storage supported for use with Rdb.

If the two are not inter-connected, then I'd look at the ECO levels for both Rdb and NFS; there are typically ECO kits available for both Rdb and the IP products, and for OpenVMS itself.
Running OpenVMS 8.2. NFS client crashes (DNFS1ACP Process is getting killed) when we start RDB. Anyone seen this before and/or have any suggestions?

no, there are no DB datafiles on the NFS drives.

Any Rdb users with home directories on these NFS drives? Rdb can be configured to operate its recovery unit journals (RUJs) on the user's home drive.

I'm fishing for any connection between these two subsystems; there's clearly something lurking here that connects these two together.
