Reinstall VMS 8.3 Itanium

Am trying to boot the VMS DVD on a 6600 as I need to reinstall the FIS as ODS2 not ODS5.
I get to the point where the system is
Configuring devices ...
%PKA0, ....
Then the system crashes and reboots ...
Any idears

Did you make any changes on the SCSI bus, or
is everything as-was?

It appears that there is an incompatibility between some versions of the firmware for the LSISAS 8 port controller and VMS booting from DVD.
Its a LSISAS1068 FW 1.16.33.0
Still trying to find out the actual problem

Just to let you know it appears the problem with the system not booting has been tracked down to the 10 Gbit Fibre network cards, that are not supported under Vanilla VMS but work OK with a patched system. We have taken the fibre cards out of the servers and can now boot the DVD and install the OS as ODS 2.
