topic External Authentication on Integrity in Operating System - OpenVMS

We currently use Advanced Server to provide external auhentication against our Windows domain. I was told that for Integrity CIFS would provide that functionality. Well apparently it doesn't. I was told to use LDAP or the ACME agents. I've used the ACME agents for Advanced Server in out Lab because we have Alpha's in the cluster. But at our production sites it will be all Integrity.

Can someone point me to information on using LDAP for authentication? Has anyone used it?

Is all of this included in VMS 8.3-1H1? I didn't see a patch kit for that version.
