Robert,

Technically, within PCSI, the destination is the destination. I suppose one could do something by breaking the kit into two components, and doing one install with a specified destination.

I recommend a complete, careful, unhurried reading of the PCSI manual, available from the OpenVMS www site (http://www.hp.com/go/OpenVMS ). It will be enlightening.

However, I must caution that this should be done carefully, in an unhurried fashion. There are many details in the manual, and some concepts require careful thought, having been here more than once myself.

- Bob Gezelter, http://www.rlgsc.com

hello,

We want to create a PCSI kit which installs parts on the system disk and parts on a disk referenced by a logical name.

Is it possible to do this with a PCSI kit? How to set it up? Any examples?

gr,

Robert verkerk

As far as I know, this is not possible.
You may, of course, use postinstallation scipts to transfer some files to other locations. Don't forget to supply also scripts called when removing the product.

regards Kalle
