Wim,
we have no chance to have this offer, but as it looks great, I have a plan of contacting HP about this for one of our Dublin based customer.

We know the ISEE Standard support offers the customers with the following support levels can receive the benefits of HP ISEE's remote support solution as part of their HP support:
HP hardware support onsite service with next-day response or higher (including Care Pack services and onsite warranty support)
Support Plus
Support Plus 24
Proactive Essentials
Proactive 24 Service
Priority Gold
Priority Gold Executive

I am just going thru this docs...
http://docs.hp.com/en/5990-8547/5990-8547.pdf

Archunan

Ian,
I don't think so as I know from one customer that HP was quite eager to put ISEE on his systems and I am quite sure he does not have an enterprise level maintenance agreement.

Last week I set up an EVA 'starter kit' (which does not even include installation and startup service in the base price) and the warranty entitlement check went without any problems when I set up ISEE.

Can't say anything about VMS as I don't run production systems.

It appears that if you have resonably modern systems
(ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/services/hardware/info/isee_supported_hardware.pdf ) and a support contract then you can have it.

I don't have time to go over this stuff (sorry), but it's my understanding that you are already entitled if your system is under warranty (at least that's the case for ProLiant servers and EVA storage).

Odd that your message was posted today. I just had a field service engineer talk up ISEE while he was dropping off a replacment disk.

Time to check out a new toy.

Andy

A client of mine uses this product, and has for a year or so. It works quite well for EVA managed by an SMA. Also works well on the alpha OpenVMS systems they have. As far as I recall, no hardware problems slipped by.
