topic wwidmgr and blade systems in Operating System - OpenVMS

Is there a blades equivalent to wwidmgr? i.e. I would like to be able to verify that volumes presented to a particular server are actually visible before letting the server boot.

I would expect that this functionality, if it exists, would be at the EFI level. Can anyone shed any light on this.

Dave.

The vms_bcfg tool (and its vms_set and vms_show friends) are the closest analogs to wwidmgr within EFI.

See the EFI utilities section of the HP OpenVMS System Management Utilities Reference Manual. I've also posted some related FC SAN boot-related details over at the http://64.223.189.234/node/786 web page, as well.
