Hi is there a way that I can make a disk volume to look like a tape to vms system like there is a freeware lddriver which allow me to create partitions in vms ......

The first time I ask this : what's the problem you're trying to solve ? Would you like to rewind the disk just as a tape drive ?

the most recent version of the LDdriver tool (V9.0) also contains a virtual tape driver.

I just checked that

9.0 has the following new features:

The major new feature is virtual tape support. This allows a file on disk to be used as a tape device, which can be very handy for testing. To use it substitute the LD command by LM, like this:

atually I am configuring a test setup for my site but do not have a spare tape drives so lets see if latest lddriver gives me chance
