As far as I know, there is no way to do that. Perhaps the user needs some education :-)

regards Kalle

In openvms 8.2 there was a change in monitor process/topcpu to show 15 processes. I have a user that is used to only 8 processes being displayed (thats what was shown in openvms 7.3-1) and wants to make his default to only show 8 processes.

Is there a logical or parameter that I am not finding in help documentation?

I think Kalle is right.

Nevertheless, the idea is appealing, especially if it applies to ANY displayed field.
I sure could do have done with such customisability on several occasions!

Peter: it is your original idea. Care to enter it as Advocacy Request? One "Aye" vote promised!

Proost.

Have one on me (maybe in May in Nashua?)

jpe

Honestly I wouldn't mind seeing more than 15 processes. We have specific ones that are always in the top 10. Normally if we have an issue its because something else is sneaking in and taking up more cpu than it usually does.

Not sure how to add this into a request.

There was another post on displaying specific devices. Would those tie in together? Would rather see the implementation of seeing DSA* over modifying quantity of processes to display.

HP just released a patch to the MONITOR utility, which enhances the MONITOR PROCESS display, so there is hope, that other enhancements may follow...

regards Kalle
