Hi @dtk2 ,
    Did you try these ?
a. The network may be slow. If you type the keys in frequency of 10-15 seconds and working fine, it is sure the network issue.
b. Update the iLO firmware using the iLO web browser and try with different keyboard.
c. Have a try, if the typing works good by connecting the keyboard and monitor to the server, there is an issue with network or remote keyboard.
d. Observe that is it happening if any of the specific applications running on remote system. Try by rebooting the remote system and connect the RC.
Please let me know, are you able to resolve the issue.

Regards,
Shiva_jr

found a solved topic for the iLO2 remote console... unfortunately I can't find any remote console setings for iLO6

I just spen 3 hours trying to type 4 commands due to what appeared to be random key bounces... a single keystroke could produce 1 to 20+ instances

in the end, vi /tmp/q and running commands from within vi got me there.. but it still took 3 hours!

a. definately on a slow connection... I'm typing 1 letter at a time, with about 5 seconds between keystrokes, it takes about 2 seconds to get the echoed character back (which sometimes is 1 and ofter a random number as many as 20)

b. I've tried 2 different keyboards, the server is remote, and my ilo connection is being tunneled through no less than 2 ssh port forwarding connentions (although the exact same connection to the actual server has zero issues (other than the overal character latency)

my ilo6 version is 1.52 Sep 13 2023

c, it was all working fine a month ago when I was on location

d. mutiple reboots were perfomed while correcting the original probem that required use of ilo

After the issue was resolved, I got back on to the ilo console and tried to login, the multi-keystroke issue reamined, and I was unable to successfuly type my password (my usename was also difficult, but possible due to character visibility)

an ssh into the server OS directly, is without issues.

@shiva_jr one more data point: I updated to ilo6 FW 1.65 (latest -1 as of this writing) and the problem persists

I also tested on a local server (via the same https/browser) and did not have the issue.

I was finally able to login, and even after login and opening a terminal, single characters are still getting multiple on the commandline (randomly)
