The quickest ways that I can think of to do this over the network are:

1) to use HP SIM.

2) use the HP Directories Support for Management Processors. You can download it from this point:

http://h18013.www1.hp.com/support/files/lights-out/us/index.html

This utility has the ability to scan a range of IP addresses looking for management processors. It can identify the version as well, and directory integration is not mandatory.

Is it possible to remotely check to see if a server has a RILO and if so, what the IP address is for the RILO? If possible, I'm looking to do this with VB. Thanks

The easiest way would be to use HPONCFG. If it returns an error then there's no iLO/RILOE/RILOE II (or at least the driver isn't loaded). If it's present and you get a result, parse the output for the IP address.
