Hi,

My login into ILO is fine, but when i got to start a Remote console session, the error message on the remote console is, Monitored server console is in an unsupported text mode. I have contacted IBM who has said that everything seems fine at the datacenter. Also the monitor at the data cenre is showing as blank, which is causing real problems with the rebuild of this DL580.... I have checked Licensing and all is up to date. any idea's?

It sounds like the server is reset or stuck in reset. Try power cycling the system.

It could be "on" but not running correctly, which would explain why the local display is also blank.

Also check that the integrated video adapter was not disabled.

I recall I've seen this message on an iLO that runs without a license. Hence, check the iLO license.
