It depends. Assuming you have local user accounts still enabled, you can remotely script the change using the local account credentials, using something like the script shown below.

However, if it is set up for "directory only" and the server is gone, you will need to either process the script locally (HPONCFG) or set the iLO security override switch on each target before processing.

The following script is derived from the downloadable HP Light-Out XML Scripting Examples, (mod_directory.xml)

<RIBCL version="2.0">
<LOGIN user_login="localuser" password="password">
<DIR_INFO mode="write">
<MOD_DIR_CONFIG>
<DIR_SERVER_ADDRESS value="192.168.1.1"></DIR_SERVER_ADDRESS>
</MOD_DIR_CONFIG>
</DIR_INFO>
</LOGIN>
</RIBCL>

Scripting DC Change

We've been using DC Authentication on our ILO's for some time. We recently retired our old DC's and brought new ones online. The AD Authentication no longer works as the ILOs were pointing to the retired DC. Is there a way to script this change?

Thanks,
Doug
