Hi

I'm having problems connecting via iLO to one of my servers (BL35p)in my P-class enclosure.

When using the rack view, I can choose all other servers and connect to them.

When choosing this server (It dosen't matter which bay it's in) I get the message:

"This button will launch a new browser window and connect to the iLO at 0.0.0.0. You must be on the same network for this action to be successful."

All other servers show me a valid IP adr.

Can i reset the iLO on this server in some way, or is it defect ?

Try configuring the iLO through RBSU:
For more info refer page 14 in the User guide.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00209014/c00209014.pdf

You will need to use the SUVI dongle to access iLO RBSU on the affected blade.

The IP 0.0.0.0 seems to indicate that iLO is not communicating with the enclosure - either iLO needs to be reset, or needs a firmware update.

Got connected via the SUVI dongle and tried resetting the iLO - no effect

Tried upgrading the firmware (from 1.91 to 1.92) - no effect

Tried disabling DHCP and punched in a static IP - Still could not connect to it via the webinterface.

Any more ideas ?

Try the Security Over ride Switch ...

To set the iLO Security Override Switch:
1. Power off the server.
2. Set the switch.
3. Power on the server.
Reverse the procedure to clear the iLO Security Override Switch.Depending on the server, the iLO Security Override Switch might be a single jumper or a specific switch position on a dip switch panel. To access and locate the iLO Security Override Switch, refer to the server documentation. The iLO Security Override Switch can also be located using the diagrams on the server access panel.

Page 55 of Userguide.... Link is in the above Post.

Another suggestion is to determine if the problem follows the blade around or the bay in the enclosure:

If you move this blade to a different slot, can you establish communication?

If you put a working blade in this slot, does it fail to communicate?

Same error if I move it to another bay.
If another server is inserted in the same bay, it gets the iLO address as it should.
