Changing the network settings (and most ports) requires an iLO reset, but the server do not need to be reboot. You need to know what your new iLO ip is or your DNS needs to be working correctly.
Hope this helps.

hi,

login to ilo and go to the Administration tab, then to network settings and at the bottow there is a field to change the IP adress. This will reset ilo(not server) and you will have to login with the new IP after that.

a blade was moved from 1 enclosure to another with a different ip subnet. I am unable to login to the ilo and the ip address was statically set. How can I reset the ip for the ILO?

If you have the ProLiant Support Pack loaded, you can use the HPONCFG utility from the host OS to set/change iLO's configuration.

http://www.hp.com/go/ilo --> Documents and Drivers
