Hi all,
got c7000 blade enclosure and one of the BL860c blades does not respond to iLO web (port 443).
Tried to reset it different ways.
ssh Admin/Admin@ip-address allows me to access management console. But 443/tcp port is not available whatever i change or reset.
"nmap" output from working ip address and non-working:
-=-=-=-
Not shown: 1710 closed ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
22/tcp open ssh
23/tcp open telnet
80/tcp open http
443/tcp open https
2023/tcp open xinuexpansion3
-=-=-=-
Not shown: 1711 closed ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
22/tcp open ssh
23/tcp open telnet
80/tcp open http
2023/tcp open xinuexpansion3
-=-=-=-
80 port always returns redirect code to https, no matter web access is enabled or not.

Any ideas?
This is fresh customers system, not mine, so no HP support is available at this moment.
Hi Gatis,

- are you saying that another BL860C in the same C7000/C3000 blade enclosure does work correctly ?

- can you provide the L and H output of
the SO command in the MP CM menu ?

- what version of system f/w is on this blade ? Run SYSREV at the CM prompt to collect this info.

Kris
I've got a similar problem. I have two blades in the same enclosure. I can connect to one but not the other. They are two different models though. See my post here: http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1308734.

I've noticed a number of similar problems, none of which have posted resolutions.

Hi Kris,
firmware is pretty new, servers left HP factory in middle of november 2008.

see attached output.
(i tried also to re-generate certificates)
I just realized very bright idea (little bit funny however).
I can install system in one of the BL860c blades, then swap installed hard drives, and install again :)

I will write my success story here, if i will do it.
I was having the same trouble. The redirect was always failing. IE was saying that it could not connect to the server.

I finally found the SO (Security Options) command that let me generate a new certificate with better values than the default cert. Once I did that, I was able to connect into the ILO fine.
Question is still open, but not so important for me right now. We sent system to final customer already :)
Two weeks ago i finally realized my idea - swapped HDD with another blade, installed fresh system, and then swapped back, assigned correct boot disk ID in firmware. (SSH console access is working).
Already tried that Certificate generation two or three times. No luck...
