David,
Thank you for the link to the BL documentation. It was helpful.
I will be severely disappointed if the answer ends up being "it's not supported".

Additional information on the problem:
When there is no ks.cfg file, the virtual floppy works, allowing a manual installation.

Thank you,
Tom

Background: using AS2.1 U2, DL360 G3, bootnet floppy image with a ks.cfg file. Bootnet floppy image with ks.cfg file operates as expected when a physical floppy diskette is used.
Problem: use the same image via the iLO virtual media, yields the error "/tmp/ks.cfg not found" and the load fails. Where have I gone wrong?

Thank you.

Google "virtual floppy" bootnet ilo and you will find: http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/linux/installnotes-bl.html which has the "Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) Virtual Floppy Installation Addendums"

Problem workaround:

Use a DHCP server for addressing and
move the ks.cfg to a NFS server. Boot the virtual floppy and at the boot prompt type:

linux ks=nfs:{your kickstart host}:/{your path kickstart cfg}/{your ks.cfg file}

Thank you,
Tom
