I'm interested in this as well.

I have a Win2k8 R2 server that this works on, however, iLo Pass Through was installed while it was Win2k8 (R1), and then the server was upgraded.

It seems to me that it's some sort of coding issue related just to the install.

As far as I understood from the HP recertification summit last month. No, passthrough is not being further developed.
Shame.

There is an updated Passthrough Service, version 1.2.26.0 (B) (11 Jan 2010). Have you tried it?

Fixes list says:
- Resolved problem with using the Version Control Repository to install on Windows X64 editions.
- Allow installation on Windows Server 2008 R2.
