I probably should add some background to the problem:

I have installed 5 server using the latest Smartstart, three of them have windows 2003 R2 std installed while the two which I have this problem with have windows 2008 std 32 bits + SP2. Both have all the PSP, I have updated the Online ILO tool to the latest and both have .net 3.5 SP1 too.

According to the device manager the ILO2 driver is 1.12.0.0 on those two servers.

Thank you!

Xavier

I have this exact same error on an ILO 3 on a DL380 G7.

I have no idea how to fix it right now. Monday we are going to the server to take a look at it and maybe try doing a reset if we can from the ilo bios.

I think on that server we had to go into the ilo bios and do a reset on the ilo.
Once it was reset, we changed the dns name and password from the bios again.
I then logged into the ilo though the web interface and flashed the firmware to 1.10 by uploading the bin file directly through the ilo interface.

That seemed to fix the issue where at least now the local hp sim smh on the server will actually acknowdlege that an ilo is present and working.

HP commented in another thread there is an issue with the hponfg interface that causes the ilo to lock up. They are working on a fix.
