iLO 100 readonly access only? Why?

Hi, I have successfully configured many iLO serial port redirections, now however I do have a problem: my serial console is somehow read-only. I cannot type anything. I see all the output (grub, linux boot, agetty) but my input is ignored.

I have the newest fw (4.21) on Proliant DL 120 G6.

PS: I run it with 115200 bps

Hope it has been configured correctly

Enabling Serial Access to HP ProLiant Lights-Out 100 (LO100)On HP ProLiant DL120 G5 servers, perform the following steps:

ROM-Based Setup, press the F10 key

Press the down arrow (Ã¢Â Â ) key to scroll to IO Device Configuration .

Press the Enter key.

Set Embedded Serial Port Mode to BMC .

Set Embedded Serial Port to Enabled .

The Virtual KVM / Media option is an advanced feature available through license.

DL120 G6 servers, verify the following settings:
Console Redirection
Ã¢Â Â BIOS Serial consoleÃ¢Â Â Enabled
Ã¢Â Â Baud Rate-9600
I/O Device Configuration
Ã¢Â Â Embedded Serial Port ModeÃ¢Â Â BMC
Ã¢Â Â Embedded Serial PortÃ¢Â Â Enabled

If nothing helps, reset the LO100 configuration with IPMI tool and try.

Hi Ernest, did you ever manage to solve this problem?

I have the same model and the same issue: the serial seems "one way" only. I can see the output but I can't interact, so login is impossible!
