HP says this is due to security settings in IE. I never had an issue with iLo 2. I tried setting what I could to "low", but network security prevents me from setting Internet security to low. I get a pop up window that says "download did not complete". If I click on the details button in that pop up I see:

PLATFORM VERSION INFO
Windows : 5.1.2600.196608 (Win32NT)
Common Language Runtime : 2.0.50727.3615
System.Deployment.dll : 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000)
mscorwks.dll : 2.0.50727.3615 (GDR.050727-3600)
dfdll.dll : 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000)
dfshim.dll : 4.0.31106.0 (Main.031106-0000)

SOURCES
Deployment url : https://10.10.50.47/public/IRC.application?addr=10.10.50.47&MPID=6fa09a49b026cb58ffc9911fa681ea7c7abd6263b186784785e6e474&https_port=443

ERROR SUMMARY
Below is a summary of the errors, details of these errors are listed later in the log.
* Activation of https://10.10.50.47/public/IRC.application?addr=10.10.50.47&MPID=6fa09a49b026cb58ffc9911fa681ea7c7abd6263b186784785e6e474&https_port=443 resulted in exception.
I noticed the URL shows the iLO3 IP address.

If you have imported a SSL Cert to this iLO3 then, you may need to use the iLO3 name in that Cert instead of the iLO3 IP address to be able to download the .NET Remote Console
I was looking at the SSL cert too. I tried generating a new one and then not only did IE fail with this same error, but Firefox completely distrusted the iLo and wouldn't go near it until I deleted a bunch of stuff from the certificate cache.

What I meant to say was that you should use the iLO3 name (instead of IP address) in the URL when connecting that iLO3. The same iLO3 name used in the SSL cert.

https://myilo.mycompany.com/public/IRC.application

If you had to disable the 'Remote Console Trust' setting in order to get the .NET IRC to launch then, your iLO does not have a "trusted" SSL Certificate.

I would recommend you to install a SSL Certificate signed by your own private CA and re-enable the setting.
