Hello,

I'm fairly new to iLO. Posting a questions here will help me a lot I guess.

We are going to roll out a large number of Proliant servers (BL20p, DL580 and DL380). All of the servers have the iLO advanced functionality.

HP recommends using CPQLOCFG for this with the sample scripts and using a bar code reader to scan the settings from the iLO tags of the servers and write them to a database/spreadsheet.

So far so good. I cannot find how you would do this. So I have a few questions:

- What has to be the format of the spreadsheet ? csv ?
- What is the syntax to use in for example the add_user.xml script such a spreadsheet ?
- Can you also use a spreadsheet with the CPQLOCFG -S parameter ?
- How can you exactly use CPQLODOS ? Can you only read data from the local server, which would make it useless when rolling out dozens of servers ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Robert Durenkamp
Robert-
I am fairly new to this forum so I just read your message from July '04.
Do you still require help with your iLOs?

James.
