Using the XML interface for ILO to send a XML message, the reply from ILO consist of a series of short XML messages, instead of a single XML reply message.

Is this normal behaviour? Will this be changed by HP so a single XML message is sent in the reply?

For example:
XML Request:

<LOCFG version="2.21"></LOCFG>
<RIBCL version="2.0">
<LOGIN user_login="Admin" password="xx">
<RIB_INFO mode="read">
<GET_GLOBAL_SETTINGS></GET_GLOBAL_SETTINGS>
</RIB_INFO>
</LOGIN>
</RIBCL>
^

The Reply will have several of the following:
<RIBCL version="2.21"></RIBCL>
<RESPONSE></RESPONSE>STATUS="0x0000"
MESSAGE='No error'
/>
>>Is this normal behaviour?
Yes, it works that way.

The XML interface was intended for computer to computer communication and is not particularly user friendly. The barrage of messages is part of the design.

>>Will this be changed by HP so a single XML message is sent in the reply?
This is not likely. Is it causing a problem for you? Does anyone have any suggestions how to filter the extra messages?
