Power Enclosure in rack view not shown

I have a BL p-Class rack and in the rack view of the iLO web interface of any blade, I see all enclosures with the blades and the switches but not the power enclosure.

Most of the iLO firmware are 1.82, at least one is 1.88.

Hi Yvan Lefevre,

1 Ensure that the management link cable is connected from the Power enclosure to the Blade enclosure.

2 Try reseating the cable and check.

3 Try reseating the Power enclosure Management Module.

4. Update the firmware of the Power and Blade enclosure to the latest 2.30.

Thanks Raj,

1. There is a cable, the amber led never blinks, the green one is on. If I look at the other enclosures, the amber led periodically blinks.

Can you check on yours ? (btw, it's a 3U power enclosure I have)

2. I did remove and replug the cable but perhaps it's faulty, i'll try another one tomorrow.

3. how do you do that ???

4. firmware is already 2.30

I did manage to get an hp engineer on site for this.

The only way to have any information about the power enclosure was to connect directly to the management module with a serial cable.

Result: the power enclosure firmware was 1.00 !!

He did replace the management module (because he wasn't sure he could upgrade from 1.00 to 2.30) and upgrade the new one to 2.30 and the problem was solved.
