    <description>LDAP can work with SSL and without.&lt;BR /&gt;The difference is in the TCP port assignments (like http: 80 and https: 443)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;389: LDAP default port&lt;BR /&gt;636: LDAP SSL-port&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Whether the domain controller accepts non-SSL connections is separate from whether SSL is accepted or not.</description>
