We are getting ready to upgrade the firmware on our server hard drives throughtout our enterprise. We are hoping we won't have to go to each site to do this, since you have to boot to the maintenance CD to accomplish this. Is there anyway to boot to the maintenance CD using iLO's virtual CD on a remote computer.
Most of our servers asre ML370 G4's, running 2003 SP2. Thanks!

hi Rancher

if you have ilo and the advance pack which enables the use of virtual media so you can use any computer with CD-ROM to access ilo in the remote server using the ip address(on IE, firefox) assign to ilo after that go to virtual media and load the local CDROM or image.

"Integrated Lights-Out Advanced Pack â upgrades the Integrated Lights-Out processor to full virtual presence and control with graphical console and virtual media."

which means you can doing even from your home.

check this and also the attached pdf file
http://urlao.com/ilopractices

regards
