Boot iso from ILO does not work

Hello, i have tried to run install OS from iso file on my hard drive thru ILO virtual media but it seems to not work , i have tried many of different iso but no luck. My ilo2 has evaluating license still valid for 57 days, between me and my server is no firewall only static nat. Everything else is working fine like remote consol. Have you got any idea how to solve the problem ?

Oh!, this is an iLO-1, not iLO 2.

Are you trying to connect Virtual Media using Win7 as a client? If so, you may want to check this thread.

Yes, client is windows 7, but as far as i know i had install ESX from win 7 as well. I will follow the link and try with linux as client

No luck with linux at all :\ icapture file done with wireshark on capture.pcap

That trace shows the normal Virtual Media keepalive packets that happen once a second. No other traffic.

This means the ROM isn't doing INT13 on the iLO USB device.

Have you changed any of the USB settings in the system ROM by a chance? You might want to reset that system to factory defaults. Also, reboot iLO by removing the power cord for ~10 seconds to ensure iLO isn't in some funny state.

I have not changed anything since installing ESX, all what i have done is add 4 hdd, anyway i will restore to default plus try with winxp. Server is unpluged most of time from AC i`m pluging it only when running lab.

One more question, How to change order booting from raid array becouse i had one drive it was systemdrive , then i have add 4 disks and made raid 5 , but system made raid 5 as logical disk 0 and is trying boot from raid5

I'm not sure but, I think you can change the order of what controllers boot first in the ROM. Look under PCI options. You might want to create a new thread with this question, though.

There is nothing apart from irq settings, i have wiped out all of disks and set them back again. Now all is working correctly. Tnx for your help
