Hi,

We've got a number of ProLiant DL380 G7 servers currently running ILO3 fw 1.28.

We've noticed on a handful now, that the System Health status is reported as OK, as is the overall Drives status, even when there's a Faulty drive in the server.

I've been through the release notes for the later versions of the ILO3 firmware, but can't see this mentioned in any of the issues or fixes.

We're relying on the Health status from the ILO to drive our monitoring, as these particular servers are running appliances that we can't install any OS agents on, so can anyone confirm if this is a known issue or whether it is actually fixed in a later firmware release ?

Regards,

Rob

It looks like this is an issue with the 1.28 firmware.

Although not specifically mentioned in the release notes (that I could see), the Health Status is reported as Critical after ugprading to the 1.50 firmware.
