ILO config utility error .net framework JIT unhandled exception

I recently came across the thread below because we are running into the same error but the "run as admin" solution is not working for us.

On new Server 2008 r2 Ent x64 installs on our DL368G8 and DL380G8 when we try and open ILO config utility we get the Microsoft .NET framework error (see attached).

Things we've tried:

installed .net 3.5.1 > windows update

installed .net 4.0 > windows update

try variations of 'program compatibilty'

reinstall of ILO/hp tools

'run as admin'

FYI if I hit Continue, the utility opens but continues to throw that same error and will not save any modifications made.

Looking for help here before we call HP - any assistance is appreciated!

I should add that I also ran the Firmware updates twice, once before OS install and after.

Resolved the issue by uninstalling per HP:

-Ilo Config util

-Ilo Channel Interface Driver

-Ilo Mgmt Controller package

Reboot

Download the appropriate installer for each of the above then reinstall.

Still unsure what caused the issue.
