Enable ILO2 on SE316R1M2 - How to?

Hi All

I disabled the ILO on two SE316R1M2 servers I have then realised it was a stupid idea.

I know to re-enable it I move the DIP switch to OFF power on then off, reset the DIP switch and it should be OK again, but it's not.

I've got the app installed but I just get a window telling me it's disabled and that I can re-enable via the ROM settings during boot but during POST I get the message that it's disabled and no options to make any edits.

Can someone tell me if there's a powershell/command to re-enable it please?

Hi @Daren Friday could you pleas share the server model than we can figure out the server model to provide the best troubleshooting for this hw.

Its an SE316R1M2 which I think translates to an X1600 Network Storage System or a DL180 G6

If I recall, these Special Edition servers were based on the DL160 or DL180 G6. THese servers have LO100i and not iLO. LO100i is enabled in the system ROM

Yes someone else said the same thing but I can assure you they are ILO2

I'm just firing the two I have back up so I can take a screen shot

the SE316M1 was based on the G6 models, I'm not sure what the M2 units were based on. check the PCI settings in RBSU and see if the controller is disabled there

RBSU = ROM Based Setup Utility, Press F9 during POST
