Hi,

I don't think you can get the iLO default passwords over any interface from HPE. It will be a security issue for the iLO if at all any interface provide those details without authentication.

You should save the default passwords in a flat or spread sheet in a safe place for all factory default settings.

Thanks,

Gokul

Hello,

I just want to know if it's possible to get the ILO defalut password via the HP Ilo Powershell module or by any other way.

I have an Administrator account for all our ILO 4 but when we do a reset of the ILO, the ilo get back to the default password ( the one on the little tab ),

so after a reset, the ILO is in DHCP (OK) with a Default Password (unknown).

Of course, my case is a server without OS, so can't change the password ( remote way )

Anyway to get this password ?

Best Regards

Chris

Thx for the answer.

I agree with you, it's why i said we have another admin account on ILO4s, so my question is with an authentication.

Retrieve the default password that will be set after a reset, before the reset and with an Admin user. it's what i need.

I don't know how this works in ILO, but if I assume it works like on any Unix style OS, you just cannot receive a password in clear text, because it is just not stored in clear text.
