We have just installed a new DL760 g2 server and have installed our first RILOE II board into the server.

The problem arises when we try and enter into a remote console.

We receive the following error in the browser.

Remote Insight has detected a Error.
Error Message : invalid argument
Filename : <SERVERNAME>\header.htm
Linenumber 59.

Also in the IML for the rib board we see the following error :

Unknown Event (Class 17, Code 5).

Has any one any experience with this error
</SERVERNAME>

Not too sure if it will add anthing but the firmware version we are using is 1.03.

Also once logged in you can get to the console by manually changing the url to
https://<SERVERNAME>/drcframe.htm.

This bypasses the problem.

</SERVERNAME>

We made a mistake. These are not bad RILOE II boards. RILOE II boards with serial numbers containing "%" prevent the remote console window from opening because of a javascript error in the HTML pages in the firmware.

RILOE II firmware 1.14 has been signed-off and addresses this issue. This firmware will be available for download imminently from:
http://www.hp.com/servers/lights-out
Click on RILOE II
Click on Software and Drivers
Pick "RILOE II", pick your OS, and then hit Locate

Again, the firmware is not on the web site as of this posting, but it will be there within a week. I will reply again when it is available.

HI acartes, we're having problems with the Online Flash firmware upgrade. When we try to run the package it gives the following error.

The software will not be installed on this system because the required hardware is not present in the system or the software/firmware doesn't apply to this system.

Press 'Close' to exit Setup.

I have checked to make sure the RIB driver is up to date but still get the error.

Is there something we are missing ?

I will see what I can find out regarding the ROM flash component failure. Off the top of my head, I do not know what the problem is.

As a workaround, you can extract the firmware image from the component and then flash using CPQLOCFG, the web interface, or HPONCFG.

Thanks again, I managed to extract the file and used the rib firmware upgrade option to load the .brk straight into the board.
