Sorry I missed that earlier, here is the info, let me know if you need any more info.

I have one more server which has the Smart Array version 1.34 and clear disk REST API works fine there, but it does not work on the server with the below info.

I think this issue was also reported on GitHub and it seems like its closed now. So is this an issue which was fixed in the latest firmware ?

https://github.com/HewlettPackard/python-ilorest-library/issues/27

I found this post as I was struggling wtih the same thing. I tried to reboot from the console and the drive info stayed.

Posting this to help anyone else trying to do the same. (I didn't do any firmware changes)

from what I've done in testing, it looks like if you have sent commands to clear the drive from redfish, your reboot must also be done that way as well.

I don't fully understand why but it worked for me.

I'm using powershell to interact and reboot.

$ResetURI = "https://hostname/redfish/v1/systems/1/Actions/ComputerSystem.Reset"

$settings = "{`"ResetType`": `"GracefulRestart`"}"

$result = Invoke-WebRequest -Uri $ResetURI -Method Post -Headers $headers -Body $settings -ContentType "application/json" -ErrorAction Stop

once the reboot has completed, I re-run my code to show me the drive info and i find its now wiped.

I went in the GUI to re-make the logical drive and had to go though the 1st run wizard.

Hopefully this helps someone.

(my headers is using the token method but creds work as well)
