Hi we have a Proliant Gen 8 Microserver and as of yesterday we started having some problems with it:

- Fans started going crazy

- We cannot connect to the ILO - we get the following message: "Connection with iLO cannot be established. If you recently made changes to the network configurations, you may need to refresh this page to re-negotiate an SSL connection."

Our ILO version is 1.2.3.1591

- The server is not outputting any video, so we can't get onto it to check errors. We connected a monitor to it and nothing.

- We can however still access the server's drives.

Any advice please?

Hello,

i would suggest to try updating ILO fw to latest version from below link if ILO webpage is opening

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_4192683772f04075b13e1009bd#tab2

Extract the firmware from the component. This will place the firmware image file, iLO4_yyy.bin (where yyy represents the firmware version) in the target directory. You now have these options:

Login to iLO 4, navigate to the Update Firmware page, and update the firmware from there.

if page is not opening then check by pinging the ILO IP address ,

if no response then reboot the node and check the status

in case does not fix the issue then please log a support ticket with HPE for further assistance

Regards
