Remote Syslog Logging facility

Hello Members,

I use the remote syslog setting for my iLo 4 boxes. It works fine..

When I use tcpdump to see the packets sent from the box with iLo remote syslog configured,

it sends the messages with facility local0 and level info. Our syslog server caputers logs from other devices, primarily cisco, which uses the local0 facility.

Is there a way to change the facility that the messages are sent?

We checked and we have seen that the option to change facility is not seen. The option that can be configured are listed in the below link:

Thanks for the info. We did solve the issue, by allowing syslog to use the facility alone.
