2003 Server
Thanks anyway Acartes, got problem sorted out. Just in case someone comes across the same problem...

Have to install a Mouse Optimization Utility from this link.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=PSD_CN0240W

Other ideas below.

Problem Description

User complains the iLO performance is poor on mouse tracking during a remote console session. The mouse will not stay synched and will lose synch within seconds. They have done all mouse optimization tricks and followed all standard video tips and tricks. User is browsing FROM a Proliant server with an iLO, RILOE or RILOE II installed TO a Proliant server with an iLO, RILOE or RILOE II installed.

Symptoms

Poor mouse tracking. Unable to click on certain areas near the edge of the screen and on the screen corners.

Cause

See if the user is browsing from a ProLiant server with an iLO, RILOE or RILOE II in the server. If there is a iLO, RILOE or RILOE II present in the LOCAL server, the Remote Console session mouse performance will be poor.

Remove the iLO, RILOE or RILOE II from the equation and see if it does not improve. If this is not an option, then dual-cursor works better than single-cursor for a Remote Console sessions. Also see that the iLO matches the Speed/Duplex settings of the switch.

Resolution/Workaround

Have the user browse to the iLO, RILOE or RILOE II from a server or workstation that does not have a iLO, RILOE or RILOE II in it. The Remote Console session mouse performance should be optimal.

When Remote Console screen is opened, Ctl-Alt-Del tab does not open up a new screen immediately. It takes a few clicks on the Refresh tab before it comes up. And the cursor is not responsive when the log-on prompt is up. Can someone help me with this issue please?

This sounds like you might have a JVM issue (assuming IE). I recommend checking the JVM version installed in your browser. You may be able to see this in the Control Panel under Add or Remove Programs. I use JRE 1.4.2_05.

You can update your JVM using this link:
http://www.hp.com/server/manage/jvm

Curious: what OS is on the remote system?
