Hello,

You may consider resetting iLO to factory defaults. You may refer to section "Resetting iLO to the factory default settings (iLO 5 Configuration Utility)" for more information. With this all iLO settings will be erased and you will have an opportunity to start over with iLO again afresh.

Regards,

Hi

On ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus with iLO 5 we had the issue on iLO Event Log, that entries are the actual time -1 hour and not corrispond with the timezone set. On the iLO overview page the Date/Time is right like the timezone set.
This problem occure also after Firmware update to 2.96.

This problem is only on all ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus and not DL380 Gen10, all are managed on OneView 8.50.00-0482370

Someone has the same problem?

Regards, Francesco

Hello @WOPSI

Good day!

You can consider the below steps, I hope these help:

>> Double-check the timezone settings on the iLO web interface to ensure that it is correctly configured. Go to the iLO Overview page and confirm that the timezone is set correctly. Make any necessary adjustments and save the changes.

>> Ensure that your iLO firmware is up to date. You mentioned that you have already updated to firmware version 2.96, but it's always a good idea to check for any newer firmware releases. Visit the official HPE website and download the latest firmware for your server model.

>> Verify the system clock on the host server (the ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus) is set correctly. Mismatched system clock and iLO clock can sometimes lead to such discrepancies. Adjust the system clock if necessary.

>> Since you are using HPE OneView to manage your servers, ensure that OneView is configured with the correct timezone settings. Check the OneView settings and correct any discrepancies in the timezone configuration.

>> Try power cycling the iLO module. This can sometimes help resolve temporary glitches. You can do this through the iLO web interface or through the server's physical power controls.

>> If the issue persists, it's advisable to contact HPE support. They can provide you with specific guidance and assistance, especially if the problem is related to a known issue or requires a specialized fix.

>> Review other system logs and diagnostics for any relevant information. Check server logs and the HPE support portal for any reported issues or solutions related to your server model and firmware version.

>> Ensure that the server is configured to synchronize its time with a reliable time source. NTP (Network Time Protocol) settings should be configured appropriately.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, contacting HPE support for further assistance is recommended.

Thank you for your checklist, all are verified and right configured.

Only one question for the task >> Since you are using HPE OneView to manage your servers, ensure that OneView is configured with the correct timezone settings. Check the OneView settings and correct any discrepancies in the timezone configuration.
- I can find more timezone, there is only Local English (US) or West not others.

Regarding Support, the HPE answer was "You need a OneView maintenance contract for that question"

Regards,

Francesco

@WOPSI

If your HPE OneView instance has limited timezone options and you're unable to find the specific timezone you need, you might want to ensure that the OneView appliance itself is configured with the correct timezone.

Here are the steps to check and configure the timezone in HPE OneView:

>> Access the HPE OneView web interface using your administrator credentials.

>>Look for a "Settings" or "Administration" section within the HPE OneView interface.

>> Within the settings, there should be an option related to time and locale. Navigate to this section.

>> In the time and locale settings, look for an option to configure the timezone. If there's a limited list of timezones, choose the one that corresponds most closely to your desired timezone. Alternatively, there might be an option to manually enter the timezone offset.

>> After selecting or configuring the timezone, save the changes.

>> Confirm that the timezone settings in HPE OneView are reflected correctly. This may involve checking both the general settings and any specific timezone configuration within the OneView interface.

Keep in mind that some systems use a combination of the timezone offset and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to manage time. Ensure that both the iLO and OneView are using the correct settings.

If, after checking and configuring the timezone in HPE OneView, the issue persists, and the iLO Event Log time is still not displaying correctly, it's recommended to contact HPE support for further assistance.

Hope this helps!

I am seeing the exact same issue. ILO's overview page shows the correct time, however ILO's log timestamps are UTC instead of my configured TZ.

iLO firmware is up to date (aug 2025), and it's been reset and reconfigured, not that I consider that a way of fixing the TZ.

I leave this message here just in case someone finds a solution and I'd hopefuly be notified by the reply.
