topic Second PXE Server in ProLiant Deployment and Provisioning

Hi,

I'm having problems with a second PXE server that I've installed. Here's my Scenario.

I have a PXE / Deployment server on a 10.16.1 network which also host a DHCP server, all servers within this VLAN obtain an IP address and are able to obtain images without any problems.

I've just installed a secondary PXE server in a differnet VLAN 10.16.2 which also host a DHCP server. The problem I'm having is that I seem to have errors in the Event Log refrerring to the Master PXE server. And I'm not quite sure how to reactify this message.

The following message is logged.

Source : PxeServices
Error: Unable to query master PXE proxyDHCP for multicast Address Allocation pararmeters.

Thats it, I think this is the main reason why I cannot deploy any images on my second VLAN. Does anybody know how to reactify this.

Thanks
Shaun.
Sounds like a network issue. Perhaps your switch/router is not passing the PXE traffic properly?

Not even sure if there is such a thing as PXE specific traffic that a switch would/could block, but I think there is. Damn I wish I had a lab.

Steven
