The fastest way is to boot the server from SmartStart (use ilo virtual media). In SmartStart use the ACU and create one ARRAY then create your two LOGICAL drives. Reboot the server press F12 so you PXE boot wait for the server to show up in the console (if it's aready in the console delete it). When it checks in run the job that captures the array configuration. Now you have a perfect array config file.

I would like to configure a 460c blade server with x2 72GB drives (mirrored) and with two or more seperate LUNS presented to WIN2003 SP1. I am having problems with the array configuration script. Does anyone have any examples I can use?

Hello, I am in the process to automate the server RAID array configuration but I want to go one step above, I mean that I would like to be able to detect the RAID hardware even before that a configuration is applied. I want to do that in order to have process that will check and then configure the RAID. Does someone know if we can discover the RAID H/W and that before to have a raid configuration applied to that server?

thanks!
