I tried the steps outlined but received the same error, "Transferring control to DOS boot diskette image".

I appears that the transfer never takes place.

I am trying to deploy an image of DL380G3. I succesfully created the image using RDeploy.exe.

But when I boot up a new DL380 and choose initial Deployment I get the following message
"Transferring control to DOS boot diskette image"

I used PXE Configurator and created Boot Files. I set the initial deployment to pull down the image but it jsut sits at the "transerring control message"

Thanks.
Sounds like the PXE images are corrupted.

Access Boot Disk creator via "Tools->PXE Config-> <CLICK initial="" deployment="" form="" the="" list="">->Make Boto Files. Delete all your PXE images in Boot Disk Creator.

Create 1 image that includes the "run initial deployment" and use the UNDI driver. Create the PXE bootfile and exit boot disk creator.

Click the "managed" option from the list in PXE Config and click "make boot files" again. Create 1 image that does not include the initial deployment option. Create the PXE boot file and exit.
</CLICK>

Hi

I have had the same problem when i added a catalog into my managed pc pxe-bootfile.

From start it only has net as a catalog when i added dos to the boot-disc bootwiz.exe fail and when i booted the server up it said the exact same thing. I removed the dos-catalog and re-made the disc and it worked again.

Guess the pxe-boot disc is kinda sensitive to other than it's normal catalogs.

Regards
Johan S.
