ql2300.sys is corrupted message when deploying Windows Server 2003 via RDP Scripted install

Hi there,

we are running the out-of-the-box scripted installs and are having problems deploying Windows Server 2003 with the following job:

Server Deployment Toolbox\2B - OS Installation (Scripted)\Deploy Windows 2003 Enterprise

When installing Standard Edition, all works fine, however we get the error:

The file ql2300.sys is corrupted. Press any key to continue

When we press a key we get the message

Setup failed. Press any key to restart your computer

.. when trying to install Enterprise Edition.

We have replaced the QLogic drivers in the osoem\proliant.zzz\w52\$oem$\$1\drivers\scsi location but have not had any success. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have managed to get around the problem by slipstreaming SP2 into the image location (\lib\osdist\w52e) and the install now works. However, I would still like a resolution as far as SP1 is concerned because we do still have requirements for it.

Sounds wierd that standard edition would work and not enterprise editions.

As you stated its the sp2 media that is the key for this solution. Somewhere round RDP 3.80-3.81 SP2 became a requirement for deployment with RDP. And it often showed it self with just this error...

Thanks Martin! Replacing files in \lib\osdist\w52e.64 with SP2 worked, deployment was successful. Not sure how pre-SP2 was there to begin with, as we started with SP2 from the get go, perhaps when updating RDP with 3.83 overwrote the Windows installation files.
