Apollo 2800 flex 2800 chassis with xl170 servers

Hi all

I would like to know if this apollo 2800 flex chassis can share same hard drives assigned though the ilo drive bay mapping? the idea is to create a very efficient and compact cluster between two xl170 servers sharing 12 same hard drives.

Please refer to the chassis quickspecs itself.

It allows you to assign drive bays to specific nodes.

Sharing the same set of drives on more than one server is not an option.

has anyone tested this on a real chassis 2800?, does the drive bay mapping lock a disk though the iLO once it has been assigned to a server node?
