I have a VCS 4.5 cluster configuration on HPUX 11.11 and part of the clusterService group include VCSweb. now everytime I shutdown the cluster (hastop -all). The VIP will get unplumb the actuall interface will clear up.
if I run "netstat -in"
I will still see something like "lan1:1".

The next time I restar the cluster "hastart" VCS will use a new virtual interface like "lan1:2" and this will keep going until the system is rebooted or the physical interface reinitialize.
