topic Stretch Cluster in Server Clustering

Hello
we plan to go to a (stretch) Cluster with SAN on Novell 6.5 and two sides, distance between is about 1 km. One side is only for desaster recovery so both sides shuld have the same hardware. What HP-Hardware we can use ? is there any similar installation ??
thanks for quick answer

Erich

You can use the Continuous Access (CA) feature of EVA (3000 or 5000) for this. Here are a couple of links:

http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storage/software/conaccesseva/index.html

http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11617_div/11617_div.html

Thanks,
Doug

Hi Dough
thanks for your answer, i will hope the EVA 3000 will work with Novell OS. I heared a rumor it will not.

Erich

Yes it is supported. Check out the Quickspecs for the Continuous Access (CA) software for EVA, which is the enabling technology for the data replication. It clearly states support for Novell.

http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11617_div/11617_div.html

However, I might suggest that you contact a local HP Storage Specialist for detailed assistance, as these types of configurations can sometimes be tricky to set up.

You can contact the local HP pre-sales technical team in Germany at 01805-235492

Thanks,
Doug
