HP Insight CMU v7.3 is now available on "Software Updates and Licensing" site

HP Insight CMU v7.3 DVD ISO is now available for download on the "HP Software Updates and Licensing" site - http://www.hp.com/go/hpsoftwareupdatesupport

**IMPORTANT**: Customers upgrading from HP Insight CMU v7.1 or earlier versions to v7.3 must obtain new license keys.
Keys for v7.1 or earlier versions will not work with HP Insight CMU v7.2 and later versions.

    If you have an active Insight CMU support contract, please go to http://www.hp.com/go/hpsoftwareupdatesupport to obtain the new license keys.

New Operating system & Hardware Support in HP Insight CMU v7.3:

- RHEL7 is supported on the Management node and compute nodes. Ubuntu 14.x is supported on the compute nodes .
- DL580 Gen8 and Gen9 systems are supported in UEFI and Legacy BIOS modes
- HP ProLiant Moonshot servers m350, m710, m400 and m800 are supported.

HP Insight CMU v7.3 Highlights:

- Two advanced backup features, Auto and UUID-based, improve provisioning reliability as well as the user experience.
    These methods are especially useful for provisioning nodes with multiple array controllers (SL4540) or nodes running a Windows OS.

- Diskless improvements:
        1) CMURAM: The new default, stateless, HP Insight CMU diskless solution.
        2) oneSIS: An NFS-root based diskless solution similar to system-config-netboot.

- cmudiff includes a powerful, embedded, interactive difference viewer.

- A complete search engine that allows keyword searches by resource type is embedded into the GUI

- Added 4 new node specific attributes in the database

- HP Insight CMU automatically sets "Boot Next PXE" for iLO/iLOCM clients when PXE-booting is required.

How to download Insight CMU v7.3 DVD ISO from the "Software Updates and Licensing" site:

If customer has an active support contract, then please go to the "Software Updates and Licensing" portal : http://www.hp.com/go/hpsoftwareupdatesupport

Step 1: You need to login into "Software Updates and Licensing" portal via HP Passport account. If you don't have passport account , please create and login.

Step 2: You will landed into "Software updates and Licensing" home page where it shows "Select an SAID" or "Directly enter an SAID"

Step 3: Enter the SAID number here and check "terms and conditions" checkbox and finally click "View available products"

Step 4: "Software Updates and Licensing - product list" page is landed. With the specified SAID number, product list associated to this SAID will be displayed.

Step 5: Choose your product from the drop-down list "Show a single category/ product center".

Step 6: All your products are displayed in this page. You need to select the product and click on "Get software updates" link.

Step 7: Then, "Software Updates and Licensing - downloads" page will be landed. If you want download software, click on "Get Software" link.

Step 8: Select the relevant "Software" and click "Download" link (or) "Use HP Download Manager".

How to download Insight CMU v7.3 Patches from HPSC:

Step 1: Go to https://spp-pro-site1-athp.austin.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/patch/home

Step 2: "Sign-in" via HP Passport credentials.

Step 3: Under "Product Support" Tab, click "Download Options" in the left-hand column of the web-page, and then click the "Patch Management" link.

Step 4: You will be landed into "Welcome to Patch Management" page. If you don't see "Welcome to Patch Management" page, please contact HP Support Center.

NOTE: You must have an active software updates support agreement in your HP Support Center profile in order to access Patch management.

Step 5: Click on "Find patches by product" (middle of the page); then click on "Cluster Management Utility".

Step 6: Add Patches of "CMU-V73" to the download basket and click "Download Selected".

NOTE: Do not download older CMU patches (v7.2 or v7.1 or v7.0) from HPSC, if you are installing Insight CMU v7.3.

Does 7.3 support any of the Apollo hardware, such as the XL230a Gen9?

CMU v7.3 requires a driver update patch to support the H-series adapters like H240 smart HBA.

Is this for a internal use or for external customer?
