Hi Jorge,

Nessus is a good tool.

You can download and test it free.
http://www.nessus.org/

It will find the OS related vulnerablities as well as the network vulnerabilities.

They will update the baseline file with latest vulnerabilities very frequently and it is easy to use. It has lot of plugins also.

Regards,
Rasheed Tamton.

Jorge,

Yes, Nessus is a good scanner, but not for actual penetration. Are you scanning Microsoft or UNIX?

Cain and Abel are good to try against MS.

Use Metasploit against any vulnerabilities you find with Nessus.

Want to test web applications? Check out www.owasp.org.

Fred
And another one using python, fasttrack. It uses metasploit and other open source items. Read about it here:

http://www.securestate.com/Pages/Fast-Track.aspx

Fred
