Hi all,

We have HP-UX 11.23 ia64 HPXU server, and ISEE A.03.95.500.28.

In SPOP ESC page it is showing as "unnamed endpoint". We found Java 1.3 in "motprefs" file, and we update the java version to 1.4 and restart the hpservices, but the status in SPOP remains same.

Events are reaching to SPOP as well as HP Backend.

Please help me to resolve this issue

Hi,

Make sure /opt/hpservices/etc/motprefs is pointing to the right location of Java 1.4:

JVM_LOC=
Then stop/start hpservices

NOTE: Most likely the path should be:
JVM_LOC=/opt/java1.4/jre/bin/java

Hope this helps,

Hi Liem,

Sorry for the delay,

the motprefs file is pointing the java as below

JVM_LOC=/opt/java1.4/jre/bin/java

(We already copleated the step that you provided but, the result was same).

Hi,

If you load up mad.log and motprefs, I'll take a look.
Also, run:
/opt/java1.4/jre/bin/java -version and send me the output.

We may need to turn on debugging to get more details if we do not see obvious problem with the current logs.
Dear All

I face the same issue on a rx6600 HPUX B.11.23. The last action we did is to force shc using the java version which is installed with the ISEE package by setting the JVM_LOC variable to JVM_LOC=/opt/hpservices/jre/opt/java1.4/jre/bin/java .

This made the "transfer" working.

20081203T08:23:09 TRANSUTIL info transport.cxx 592 ISEE transport utility 'submitData' was successful in sending the file.
20081203T08:23:09 shc-cli info ShcCli.cxx 2248 Successfully submitted request for a SHCA Report.
