    <description>I was stuck in version A05.16 after 5.2sp2--&amp;gt;5.3 upgrade and got same errors.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ended up removing the RSCC and RSCCE components (unified collector etc.) AND did a registry clean for RSCC and RSCCE components. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;After that it installed the new version from RSSMW</description>

      <description>Hi all.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As a part of otherwise successful HP Systems Insight Manager 5.2sp2 --&amp;gt; 5.3 upgrade, the installation of Remote Support Configuration Collector Extension fails with the following error:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;An exception was thrown when installing the service CM_GL_RSCC-CMS_WIN&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So far I have tried running the installation again with the same error. In addition I reinstalled RSCC and tried installing RSCCE afterwards, no dice.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I found another thread discussing somewhat similar thread with another using reporting the very same error:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1308370" target="_blank"&gt;http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1308370&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;See Paula Nelsen's post, no specific answer for her though. That thread sort of hints that some update was or will be released.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please see the attached install log, I can't really make out what really fails.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in advance.</description>

      <description>Hiya.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just wanted to let you know that reinstalling the whole RSSWM roughly along the lines Simon described fixed the issue for me.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I didn't touch the registry though. Searched for likely culprits but ended up removing nothing.</description>

      <description>Aside of the registry cleaning and renaming of directories, the process I described follows HP's recommendations. However, it took me quite a while searching through various HP docs to find that info!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Glad I could help anyway.</description>
