I have a few systems that we have configured using sim 5.3 and remote support advanced 5.3, we ran the hpux command to generate a test event and we see the event in SIM but there is nothing listed in System Event Analyzer. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Alice,

How did you verify the subscription? In other words did you use the following command at the command line?

# /opt/sfm/bin/evweb subscribe -L -b external

Or did you use the System Management Homepage on the HP-UX server to view external subscriptions?

In either case you must see a subscription for HPWEBES (on the CMS) for HP_Alertindications.

Also do you see a type 4 service event in HP SIM?

Armed with this information I may be able to help.

Take care,
frank
Frank, I used the command you posted to verify if subscriptions were set up to go and then saw the event in sim as a type 4. Still not an event in sea. Have called support to see if they can help me, thanks!
