Is Remote Support Advanced supported on a virtual machine? The 5.3 User Guide does not mention VM support.

Officially, no. I just rechecked the requirements for 5.30, dated November 2nd, and the statement has not changed. I think it will refuse to install if it detects that you're in a VM.

That being said, if you search in this forum you'll find some posts indicating that support of RSP running in VMs is being considered by HP. For when? I don't know.

RSA will be supported virtual servers at 5.40 which should be out mid December. The release is currently in a early adopter program and if all goes well you should have it next month.

Initially this will be supported on ESX 3.5 and 4.0
ESXi 3.5 and 4.0
